Intercessory Prayer Team
Purpose
Seek God’s guidance for all aspects of the We the People Bayou Community organization; regularly share prayer requests related to our state or nation supported with scripture, pertinent information, and a prayer to a core group on the Intercessory Prayer Team, who shares it with others in a prayer chain fashion.

GOD’S PLAN FOR SALVATION
1. THE PROBLEM: HUMANITY’S SIN
ROMANS 3:23 “FOR ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD.”
2. THE CONSEQUENCE: THE PENALTY FOR SIN
ROMANS 6:23 “FOR THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH, BUT THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD.”
3. GOD’S SOLUTION: CHRIST’S SACRIFICE
ROMANS 5:8 “BUT GOD DEMONSTRATES HIS OWN LOVE FOR US IN THIS: WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US.
4. THE ACTION: BELIEVING AND CONFESSING
ROMANS 10:9 “IF YOU DECLARE WITH YOUR MOUTH, JESUS IS LORD, AND BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, YOU WILL BE SAVED.
ROMANS 10:13 “FOR EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.
5. THE RESULT: PEACE WITH GOD
ROMANS 5:1 “THEREFORE, SINCE WE HAVE BEEN JUSTIFIED THROUGH FAITH, WE HAVE PEACE WITH GOD THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.”
HOW TO ACCEPT THIS GIFT
IF YOU ARE READY TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT, IT CAN BE EXPRESSED THROUGH A SIMPLE PRAYER TO GOD:
DEAR LORD JESUS, I KNOW THAT I AM A SINNER AND I NEED YOUR FORGIVENESS. I
BELIEVE THAT YOU DIED FOR MY SINS AND ROSE FROM THE DEAD, I TURN AWAY FROM MY SINS AND INVITE YOU INTO MY HEART AND LIFE, I WANT TO TRUST AND FOLLOW YOU AS MY SAVIOR. AMEN
